Working out when your sick will cause you to be overall more fatigued and causing a higher body stress there for longer for you to recover. Take a hot bath followed up with a very brief cold shower can help improve your recovery so you can get back on track. Sleep is one of the most underestimated recovery methods. The more you rest the faster you recover.

WHAT EXERCISE CAN I DO ?

Stretch ! Use this time you are sick to do long periods of yoga. It will help open up your breathing and help with your overall recovery. I recommend doing it in the comfort of your home. Go for a ten minute walk. The time you are walking focus on deep breathing while trying to open up your airways. Stay away from the weights. Stay away from the gym. Stay away from training classes. Focus first on recovery. Training should be your very last concern. If you do decided to be so stubborn and want to train. It will take a long time for your body to get a solid recovery. Every time you train you only add a stress to your body and training while sick is maximizing your overall body stress.
